A people group is a group of individuals, families and clans who share a common language and ethnic identity. The most noticeable characteristic is language, but race, religion, heritage and even socioeconomic differences are also defining people-group factors.
In 2002, Southern Baptists gave $9.4 billion through their offering plates. The IMB received $115 million through LMCO and $90 million through the Cooperative Program. Thats a total of $203 million just over two cents of every dollar received by the churches. With 78 percent of IMB budget going toward personnel and staff, the choices that churches make in their giving limit the spending choices available to the IMB.

Each year during the Week of Prayer for International Missions, Florida Baptist Witness honors the International Mission Board missionaries who have Florida ties. According to the IMB, 357 missionaries list Florida as their home state. Because of security reasons and at the request of the IMB, not all personnel are pictured and regional areas, not countries, are listed with the missionaries names.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (FBW)-Six missionaries with Florida ties joined 61 others Nov. 11 at a missionary appointment service held in conjunction with the Kentucky Baptist Convention annual meeting in the Rupp Arena. They are Thomas and Lee Smith; Charles and Robin Taylor; and Bryan and Deana Wolf.
