Daytona Beach nominations declared: FBSC president Rice to run for 2nd term

PENSACOLA (FBW)—William Rice, president of the Florida Baptist State Convention, will be nominated for a second term by Bob Greene, director of missions of the Pensacola Bay Baptist Association.

Daytona Beach nominations declared: Pastors' conference nominee Clayton Cloer

OVIEDO (FBW)—Dwayne Mercer, pastor of First Baptist Church in Oviedo and former president of the Florida Baptist State Convention, will nominate Orlando pastor Clayton Cloer as president of the 2008 Florida Baptist Pastor's Conference at this year's conference Nov. 10-11 in Daytona Beach. Cloer has served as pastor of Central Florida Baptist Church for four years.

PENSACOLA (FBW)—"Winds of change" blew through Greater Little Rock Baptist Church in Pensacola Oct. 18, ripping off half the roof and shattering its nearby daycare center.

125 missionaries, seven chaplains commissioned for deployment

McDONOUGH, Ga. (BP)—The North American Mission Board commissioned 125 new missionaries and seven chaplains from 32 states and two Canadian provinces during the board's fall commissioning service in McDonough, Ga.
